A medical university built around MENA students

More than half of our international intake comes from the Middle East and North Africa — Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, Iraq, Egypt and beyond. Our admissions desk works in Arabic, our campus is a direct flight from the Gulf, and our official regional representative sits in Amman.

Why the Middle East is our first priority

BAU International University Batumi was designed for students who want an internationally benchmarked medical degree taught in English, close to home, without a national seat lottery. That is exactly the position most families in the Gulf and the Levant find themselves in.

Every stage of the journey is available in Arabic: first enquiry, document review, offer explanation, family calls, arrival support in Batumi, and academic follow-up once the year starts.

What Arabic-speaking families ask us most

Is the degree recognised at home? The programme is WFME-accredited and WHO-listed, which is the base requirement for licensing examinations across the region.

Do I need Georgian or IELTS? Teaching is in English; an English certificate is optional and replaced by a short interview.

Is it safe for daughters studying alone? Batumi is a low-crime coastal city; we place female students in supervised housing near campus and keep parents in contact with a named coordinator.

Can fees be paid in instalments? Yes — tuition is fixed for the full programme and paid per semester.

Who do we deal with locally? Shatnawi Education in Amman, our official MENA representative, at no extra cost to the student.
